Quest Nutrition is an awesome nutrition bar company that we found while doing some research online, and they certainly have quite a delicious looking line of protein bars to choose from. Their newest line of protein “bars” comes in the form of protein peanut butter cups, yes, we said protein peanut butter cups. Quest Nutrition says, ” what really separates Quest from all the rest is its nutrition. No other nutrition company has been able to do what we have done – produce very low-carb protein bars with high protein, high fiber and no trans fats”. Their original line of protein bars includes: PB&J, Vanilla Almond, Peanut Butter Supreme, Mixed Berry Bliss, Chocolate Brownie, Apple Pie, Cinnamon Roll, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Coconut Cashew, Lemon Cream Pie, and Strawberry Cheesecake. They are rolling out a brand new line of protein products called Quest Cravings, and judging from the product we received in the mail last week, we are in for quite a treat. One thing’s for sure, these definitely aren’t your traditional protein bars. To learn more about Quest Nutrition, be sure and head to their web-site for more information on their line of products, as well as how you can purchase their protein goodies directly from their online store.
OK, so as you can see from the picture below, these protein goodies look pretty similar to one of the most popular peanut butter and chocolate combinations in the world–Reese’s peanut butter cups. Our first bite was filled with a chocolate and peanut butter explosion, however our testers thought the peanut butter aspect was just a bit more than the chocolate. The chocolate coating was thoroughly enough by all of our tasters though, and it did give us the semi-hard bite that we were hoping to find. The ingredients list is short, which means it’s much healthier for you than most protein treats on the market. Amazingly, the ingredients list consists of peanuts, protein blend and unsweetened chocolate among a few other ingredients. If you’re looking to switch things up with your boring protein bar, we recommend you try out Quest Nutrition’s brand new Cravings line. Overall (4.5 out of 5).
The pros are that the ingredients list is short and you can pronounce everything on it, the peanut butter cup tastes great, it packs a decent amount of protein, it’s low in carbohydrates, they don’t add any sugar to it, and you can buy them directly from their online store.
The cons are that you might have to wait a couple of days for your protein peanut butter cups to arrive in the mail.
